Doroo Partner — Privacy Policy

Effective 24 August 2026 · Version partner-2026-08

This policy explains what personal data we collect about you specifically as a Doroo Partner — an affiliate with a promo code — and how we use it. It's a companion to, not a replacement for, the general Doroo Privacy Policy, which covers Doroo+, Doroo Analytics and the Online Catalog.

01 Scope

This policy applies to the data we collect through the Doroo Partner dashboard and related pages (login, sign-up, password reset, payouts, profile) — the tools affiliates use to manage their promo code and commission. It does not cover data collected by Doroo+, the Doroo Analytics app, or the Online Catalog when you use them as a business owner or shopper rather than as a Partner; that's covered by the general Doroo Privacy Policy linked above.

02 What we collect

CategoryExamples
Account detailsFull name, email address, phone number, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text)
Identity & license dataDOROO+ license key, where your account originated from a software purchase
Payout informationBank account, mobile payment, or other payout method details you provide to receive commission
Program activityYour promo code, referral and commission history, payout requests and their status
PreferencesYour preferred dashboard language
Technical dataSession identifiers, login timestamps, and basic device/browser information needed to keep your account secure

We collect this directly from you when you sign up, complete your profile, or request a payout — we don't buy Partner data from third parties.

03 How we use it

  • To create and secure your Partner account, and let you log in (including via a DOROO+ license key on first login).
  • To attribute referrals to your promo code and calculate your commission accurately.
  • To process the payouts you request, using the payout details you've given us.
  • To communicate with you about your account, payouts, or changes to the program.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the program, as described in the Terms of Use.
  • To show your dashboard in your preferred language and remember your basic preferences.

We do not use your Partner data to serve you advertising, and we do not sell it.

04 Sharing & disclosure

We only share your Partner data in these situations:

  • Payment processing — the minimum information needed to send your commission payout to your bank or payment provider.
  • Service providers — infrastructure providers (such as hosting and email delivery) who process data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal reasons — where required to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Doroo, our Partners, or others.
  • Business changes — if Doroo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, Partner data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We never share your payout details with other Partners, customers, or the public.

05 Retention

We keep your Partner account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations — commission and payout records in particular may need to be retained longer to comply with financial record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your account data sooner, as described in Section 7.

06 Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard salted hashing, never in plain text. Password reset links are single-use and time-limited. We restrict access to payout information to what's needed to process your requests. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, and we review our practices as the platform grows.

07 Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about your Partner account.
  • Correct inaccurate details — most of this you can update directly in your dashboard profile.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to the retention needs in Section 5.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email contact@doroo.net from the address on your account. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity first.

08 Cookies & sessions

The Partner dashboard uses an essential session cookie to keep you logged in securely. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on Partner pages. Because the session cookie is required for the dashboard to function, it isn't optional — but it's cleared when you log out.

09 Children's privacy

The Partner program is intended for people who meet the age of majority described in the Terms of Use. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children, and we'll delete any such data we become aware of.

10 International transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your own country. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to receive an appropriate level of protection, consistent with this policy.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Partner program evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or an in-dashboard notice before they take effect. The "Effective" date at the top always reflects the latest version.

12 Contact

Questions about this policy or your Partner data can be sent to contact@doroo.net.
